K through 5 grades
Day: Thursday(Beginner Level)
Time: 3:35- 5:00pm(with a monitored snack break from 3:35 – 3:45pm)

We highly recommend that you maintain an active PTSA membership.
Somerset PTSA member early registration opens at 10am Thursday, March 28. Please purchase a membership prior to starting the registration process. Create/Renew PTSA Membership. (Please note that new memberships may take up to 24 hours to be reflected on the website. )
General registration opens at 10am Friday, March 29. This registration will be opened to all families in Somerset at this time.
Please check and update your child's grade and teacher's name prior to registration through My Account.
Effective January 1, 2024, all tuition received will be allocated to the Somerset PTSA After School fund. These funds will be applied towards various purposes, including Club activities, teachers/mentors/coaches cost, materials and equipment, building usage fees, janitorial services, insurance, and other costs related to Club activities.
In the event of any surplus at the end of each session, the excess funds will be redirected to the Somerset PTSA general fund. This general fund will contribute to supporting PTSA's overall activities, including grants for the Somerset GSA, Curriculum enrichment grants, and so on.
Tuition fee of $270 will be collected during registration. You will be redirected to PayPal at the end to submit payment information.
Refunds are on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed. You agree that you are registering for this program with no expectation of receiving any refund should you choose to withdraw your child.
Minimum: 12 Maximum:20 (Please note that one spot will be reserved for the Club Chair, if applicable.)
Parents must be available to attend at least one sessions during the year for each enrolled student to assist the coaches. This participation is required. Parents will help to run the class and make sure rooms are clean at the end of class.

The SignUp Genius is set up with all the sessions. It is a first-come, first-serve basis so please sign up for the dates that work best for your schedule. After Jan 8th, in order for us to have at least two volunteers per session, we will assign dates to parents who have not signed up.
Parents must complete the Bellevue School District Volunteer background check and check-in at the Somerset Office on their volunteer day.
As the Club Chair, a special arrangement will be made to reserve a spot in the club for your student. We appreciate your commitment and look forward to your active involvement in shaping a positive experience for both your child and the entire club.

As a chair, your responsibilities will include:
Managing Parent Volunteers: This involves creating a sign-up sheet for parent volunteers to assist with the class.
Communication with Parents: Sending out emails to parents regarding class information to keep them informed.
Addressing Parent Inquiries: Responding to any questions or concerns that parents may have by email.
Ms.Ding and Ms. Wang are very experienced Chinese teachers.
Ms. Ding graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting and Hosting from Chongqing Normal University. She previously served as a news anchor at Chongqing Hechuan People's Broadcasting Radio Station. In the field of broadcasting, Teacher Ding has achieved significant recognition, winning the Second Prize in the Southwest Region Little Golden Microphone Competition and the Second Prize in the National Little Golden Microphone Competition (University Category). She has also been honored with invitations to perform on programs broadcasted on CCTV (China Central Television). Since her arrival in the United States in 2017, Teacher Ding has been dedicated to overseas Chinese teaching and has developed a deep passion for the profession.
Ms. Wang is one of the founders of GE Chinese School, she is dedicated to promoting the dissemination of the Chinese language and culture overseas. She possesses unique insights and understanding of overseas Chinese education. In 2018, with the vision of 'Technology Empowering Education,' Ms. Wang resigned from her position as a Senior Program Manager at Microsoft and established GE Chinese School in Bellevue.
