Auction 2007 Committee Volunteers Needed

Oversee major fundraising event geared toward boosting support of our school.  Solicit input from staff for funding needs.  Work with committee to procure auction items, including classroom projects.  Plan and execute event.  Ensure timely use of auction proceeds. 

Time Commitment: 1 hour or less per week for first year.  5+ hours per week during Fall and Winter of auction year.  30+ hours during week of auction March 2007.

Auction Success in 2005

Wow, the Dream a Big Dream auction was a success! It was a fun evening, and we raised approximately $100,000! We are still working on the financial details and will get more information out soon. Statements will be mailed to you soon as well.

A huge THANK YOU to all the families and individuals who contributed to this year's auction! Whether you attended the auction, donated money, or volunteered to help before and/or after, your contribution is what made this auction such a success and what makes this community so special. Thank you to Mr. Schell, the teachers and staff of Somerset, and the volunteers who worked tirelessly on so many details. We are also grateful to Eastgate Elementary parents, Newport Heights Elementary parents, and students of Newport High School and Tyee Middle School for their valuable time spent helping at the auction.

If you attended the auction on Saturday, be sure to check your purchases to make sure you received everything you purchased. If you see something you did not purchase, please let one of the auction co-chairs know. With volunteers sorting, packing and delivering nearly 400 items on Saturday, mistakes are possible. There were a few items not picked up by winning bidders on Saturday. These bidders are being contacted and arrangements are being made to deliver items. And three coats were left behind. These will be in the Lost and Found closet at school.
