Parenthood Development (Ph.D)
Ph.D. stands for Parenthood Development. Parents value education and personal growth not just for their children, but also for themselves. We provide parents with learning opportunities throughout the year in the form of speakers, workshops, and access to community resources.
For the 2011 - 2012 academic year, the Somerset PTSA Ph.D. Committee will sponsor 8 Meet the Principal events to give the school community the opportunity to get to know our new school principal, Brian Teppner. Mr. Teppner would like to hear your thoughts and ideas on areas that you think can help to make Somerset Elementary an even better school, and to answer any of your questions. However these meetings are not the place to ask specific questions related to your own child. The Meet the Principal events will be held at different times of the day to accommodate as many parents' schedules as possible. Coffee/tea and light refreshments will be served.
The Meet the Principal dates are as follows:
9/13/11 Tuesday at 7:00 - 8:00 pm (free child care is provided for school aged students)
10/6/11 Thursday at 9:30 - 10:15 am
11/1/11 Tuesday at 7:00 - 7:45 am
1/5/12 Thursday at 2:30 - 3:15 pm
