Chess Club

Somerset Chess Club, established in 2002 by Somerset parents, is getting ready to start the 2011-2012 season. The mission of the club is to bring chess to as many young students as possible through classroom instruction, game play and optional, local chess tournaments. Meetings run from October through April on Monday’s from 3:45-5:00, starting Oct. 3rd. Students in grades K through 6 are invited to join. Parent volunteers are needed during the season in such roles as club session monitoring and season ending celebration. Please turn in your registration form and check to the PTSA box in the office.
