Try These Experiments at Home!

If you enjoyed going to the Science Carnival last year, why not continue having fun with science at home. Here are the links to all of our 2005 Science Carnival experiments plus a few extra experiments that you might enjoy trying:

You Can Make GAK at Home

Recipe for Glue Polymer reagents:
Elmer’s glue (50/50 glue/water)
Borax soap solution (Found in the laundry section of the supermarket)
1/8th teaspoon soap plus 1 tablespoon water
Food coloring dyes, Measuring spoon, Cup, Stick

Recipe
1) Put 2 tablespoons of diluted glue into the cup.
2) Add 4 drops of food coloring. Stir with stick to mix in color.
3) Add ½-¾ tablespoon of borax soap solution. Stir with stick.
After 30 seconds of stirring remove from the cup; knead thoroughly.
