Our Purpose
The Somerset PTSA (Parent-teacher-student association) is a local, self-governing membership
association whose main purpose is to promote the health, welfare, safety and education of children and youth in home, school and community.
We accomplish this through raising funds in order to provide the school and community with the following services: academic programs, community and
family events, parent education programs, legislative updates, and emergency preparedness and child safety programs.
Incorporated on June 13, 1977, Somerset Elementary PTSA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation affiliated with
the Washington State PTA as well as the National PTSA.
PTSA membership is open to parents and guardians of all Somerset Elementary students,
school faculty and staff. Historically, Somerset Elementary PTSA has enjoyed overwhelming support of the community.
In recent years, 100+% of parents, faculty and staff have joined.
